Home away from home

We hadn't planned on going to Ireland until the end of the trip but by the end of August we were so exhausted the idea of being able to go somewhere and sleep in a comfy bed, have constant company and home cooking was all too tempting and we booked flights for the 22nd of September. We stayed with Ebbs' family in a beautiful house in a village just outside of Dublin. The village was like a story book with a creek running through it (with otters in it!!) and quaint matching houses. I loved Dublin as a city. The cobblestone streets and old pubs decorated with flowers made it incredibly beuatiful and there was something constantly cosey about the atmosphere there (even though it was very cold). All the buses are double deckers , it has heaps of charm, double decker buses, really cool nightlife, irish pubs are something else. we went to opium and it was really good. heaps of op shops in the city, no exageration there would have been 15 on one street. i found some pretty cool stuff and posting stuff back to australia is really cheap from dublin.

we went to galway for the day, we caught the bus from dublin. it was a beaitufl sleepy seaside town, we got lunch and read our books by the river

we came back again in novemebr for a music festival called metropolis. it had an absoultey amazing lineup of the likes of kink, todd, jamie xx, four tet, flight facilities, chic, hot chip

ebbs family were some of my favourite people and i miss them so much!! i cant wait to go back and see them
